Yorkville Runs Virtual 5K

It’s about more than running, it’s about the kids.

TEAM YEF has become yorkville runs - a virtual 5k that supports all of district 115 including schools, booster clubs, ptos and the foundation.

Lace up your athletic shoes and join the community in raising funds to support the students and employees in Yorkville CUSD 115. Yorkville Educational Foundation (YEF), in collaboration with the Yorkville CUSD 115 Parent-Teacher Organizations (PTO) and booster organizations, is hosting a Virtual Team YEF 5K/Fun Run. Event participants can register to complete their run/walk anytime starting on September 21 and culminating with the official “Yorkville Runs Day” on September 27.

Registrants can select from a variety participation options.

• Supporters can participate in the virtual 5K run/walk for a $25 donation;

• children ages 13 and under can join the Fun Run 1.15 mile run/walk for a $10 donation;

• or families (up to two adults and four children) can participate in the Family Run for a $75 donation.

Each participant will be able to designate a portion of their donation to support one of the sponsoring organizations (YEF or a District 115 PTO or booster organization). There is also an opportunity for participants to become a “charity hero” and raise money individually to support the group of their choice. District supporters who are unable to join the race can assist in the effort by helping participants reach their fundraising goal or by volunteering to help on race day. 

How Does It Work?

Participants can track their time using the Strava App. Just join the Yorkville Runs club and your time will automatically be logged with your phone.
