What is the criteria for someone who goes above and beyond?
For educators we are seeking individuals who:
Demonstrate genuine caring for students’ academic & emotional development. Fosters a positive climate of respect, cooperation & tolerance
Demonstrate clear knowledge of student’s skills & differentiates teaching based on their skills
Inspire students to think outside the box and creates an environment to dream big and make their dreams a reality
Create partnerships that bridge the classroom and students' homes
Serve as a role model for students in the classroom, colleagues, the school program and the community through their role, extracurricular school and community activities.
For community awards we are seeking individuals who:
Recognize the importance of education in District 115 and volunteers, advocates or works to further that mission
Provide opportunities to connect District 115 with the local community
Create or promote opportunities for students to become lifelong learners
Who can nominate an individual?
Nominations are open to everyone. You cannot nominate yourself.
I want to remain anonymous. Is that possible?
Yes, while we require your name and address to verify the information, we won’t reveal your identity when you check the “I wish to remain anonymous” box
Will every nominee be recognized?
Yes, every nominee will be recognized via surprise announcement. Nominees are also invited to join us for the formal ceremony in the spring.
