Circle center grade school

We take whatever opportunities necessary to scream the praises of our district and moreover the educators that our children have encountered. This is only amplified with Mrs. Kressin. It takes a special teacher to not only instill a love of learning in her class, but also to foster important values like empathy, teamwork, and perseverance She gives us so much hope and excitement for the way in which she nurtures her students. Our son was upset with himself that he didn’t score higher on his standardized test. She noticed that he was bummed and reassured him that the test was only a small snapshot in time.  She told him that she was proud that he is driven to do a good job. Even though she didn’t need to, she made the effort to call us and let us know how he was feeling. Later that night, we ran into Mrs. Kressin at a local restaurant. She went out of her way to stop by and give a smile and reiterate how proud she was of Bryce. There are so many more instances that I could elaborate on but all one needs to do is to peek into the photos, stories and updates she posts for the parents on ClassDojo. They are truly a look into the amazing environment she fosters and provides for her students. Everything that Mrs. Kressin does is circled around her students, her integrity and her district.”

rookie of the year
Stephanie prentice
third grade teacher
circle center grade school

Stephanie Prentice is very professional, reflective and giving first year teacher at CCGS. She gives every ounce of herself to her students. I am amazed by her professionalism, perseverance, creativity and work ethic. We work on the same team together, and as we’ve had endless conversations, and even some tears as she navigates how she can be the best teacher for her students. She has high expectations for her students and even higher expectations for herself. Each day she returns with a positive attitude and new strategies to try. I am blown away at what she’s accomplished during her first year.

The YHS Field Experience Program matches students with community businesses within their field of interest to expand their high school coursework into a meaningful and relevant work experience. The aim is to connect with the business world and gain skills to complement students’ education and increase employability. This year, the program has flourished with 61 students and 30 business partners matched, because of a strong partnership between Yorkville High School and the Yorkville Chamber of Commerce. spirit of the fox
shawn harris

District 115 is a better organization because of Shawn Harris. He is a tireless volunteer and dedicated parent who works to advance every fundraiser or initiative to the next level. He serves as PTO Treasurer for two schools. In this capacity, he strives to help all students. Instead of just focusing on raising funds, his efforts extend to developing a positive climate district-wide. Outside of his volunteer efforts, he is actively involved in working with the district to continually improve. Shawn is a district cheerleader, touting the district’s strengths to the public, while working with the district to identify and overcome any challenges.
